Trench Lighter

    image0.jpeg Hello! I found this lighter and have been told that it is a Trench lighter. Can anyone help me identify it? I don't know if it's WW1 or WW2. It has the initials (?) D.P. Stamped on the lid. Thank you!!

    clean the base and see if the cartridge still has numbers on it ...

    There aren't any numbers or letters other than the "D.P." on the top of the lid.

    funny here is a term used for wonderment....or surprise.
    as I would expect the casing to have some kind of marking....
