No worries. No risk of that. Sellers make unsubstantiated and inaccurate claims all the time especially when trying to make a buck at a swap meet. Many of my necklaces are rocks in some form or another. Here is my favorite. Even @Hollyblue might approve. :) IMG_2208.JPG IMG_2209.JPG

I can see why you were attracted to this necklace. I especially like the unusual color combination of the stones.

Thanks. I appreciate your comment. I was looking for a statement piece to wear with a black turtleneck sweater.

A black turtleneck would really show it off. Depending on the bulkiness of your turtleneck, if the chain it isn't quite long enough to lay the way you want, you could do what I've sometimes done, which sounds terrible, but can be hidden under the back of the turtleneck -- make a temporary extender with a "chain" of small safety pins, or loop a piece of finer chain through the last link and hook both ends into the existing clasp. There are probably much better ways to do this if needed.

Great idea. I've haven't tried it yet on the sweater. I'll have to see how it fits.

They sell necklace extenders that work well. A 7-inch bracelet works nicely too if it has compatible clasps.

Ah ha. Probably better than safety pins.

It doesn't stick you if it opens up, at least. It's also the only use I've ever had for those nasty chain bracelets, other than melting the gold ones.

You are far more skilled and knowledgeable than me regarding jewelry. I will have to buy a chain bracelet so I can dislike it. :)

@Any Jewelry I just realized, I was in Jaipur recently. It appears that I had to come all the way back here to get some jewelry from there.
