    I prefer them in their original clothes but if they're a great naked doll I will make clothes for them, sometimes I will find an old antique dress that will fit and I will purchase it .. Joy.

    @antidiem...............For antique bodies, "foxing" = "cloth fabric has age spots "...............

    I have no idea the term for new bodies.

    As long as you know what "foxing" means re books, I guess it works for dolls too.

    Hi,
    I used to get a lot of foxing on old linens. The MET in NYC gave classes on care of old linens. The one course said to NOT bleach old linens but soak them in Hydrogen Peroxide and baking soda. I have removed many an old stain and foxing by using that idea. They use it for paper foxing also. I use an antacid and club soda to save new newspaper clippings from turning yellow and falling apart.

    Sorry, I just realized that I never replied to Anti's Question on "foxing" .. Judy answered very well and I totally agree with her ... I got too wrapped up with my own self ... :( ... Joy.

    HMMMMM.....all you lovely ladies got me thinking about one China head doll I have that I will start my own thread on as soon as I get some pictures taken!!!!!!!
