So I really don't want to remove these from the frames. They are really nicely done. I am really not strong with Japanese works but I know these are famous kabuki actors . I believe these to be by either Utagawa Toyokuni (Japanese, 1769-1825) or Utagawa Toyokuni III (1786 – 1864). Comparing to other mid 19th works, these look a bit earlier. Does anyone else have an opinion?

    Sight is approx. 14" x 9.5"
Thank you so much for looking!

The bottom one has a censor seal so it's basically dated (so you can look that up) - also - both prints are probably by Kunisada.
He went through several name changes during his long and prolific career, calling himself Toyokuni 2 at one point and finally settling on Toyokuni 3, which is what I believe these prints are signed.
