55FC54E9-B580-4D1B-B44E-288389DF7E30.jpeg Rummage find at the weekend. The one with the lid, including the lid is 4and a half inches tall, the other with the handles is 2and a half inches tall. I have no idea what material they are made out of or where they are from or likely how old. I saw some NA online with a similar lid and pattern but nothing similar with handles. I think they are coil pots? Any info please? thank you.

I much prefer the lid fitting into the base rather than over it......and the holes in the lid and base bother me......so without having it in my hand......I'd have to say some type of african basket maybe...that looks similar..

I looked at a lot online and the holes in the top and bases on mine was a concern. I haven’t handled any NA items, we don’t get too many in the U.K. especially at a Village Hall rummage!

ahhh...but some times...some older items do pop up...so keep digging !!
A lot of NA items found their way across the pond....specially in the early 1900's when the boom in tourist travel brought well heeled folks to see the new world !

Yea, that was my concern, too. But I haven't seen much in the way of miniatures coming out of Africa. Perhaps too generic to place.
