There is a nostalgic feeling for something so familiar and so close to one's heart which many folk paintings evoke when you look at them. This is one of the naive Ukrainian paintings from my collection. If you want to know more do not hesitate to ask me questions.

Oh how lovely!! How large is it, Natasha, and how did you come by it? I have a few pieces of Nicaraguan folk art (but from the 1980s) that I absolutely love--there's something so "real" about the scenes they depict.

Its size 60 x 42cm. I have a large collection of Ukrainian folk art. A few pieces from 1970s are for sale. If you are interested I can send you the photos.

Oh it's big--lovely! I appreciate your art collection, but have more than enough collections of my own on the go, though.
