I have received a small vase with a gold signature. I cannot determine what company it comes from. Any help would be great.

It looks like twisted wire cloisonne.
Is this actually on pottery/porcelain or a metal base?
Ditto what Bdigger said in the post above.:)

Looks like thread to me. Is it some kind of acrylic decoupage?

Doesn't look like a signature to me. Looks like a flower.

A picture of the item would be helpful.

That's definitely a gold chain embedded in...thin enamel? As motherotherstuff suggested, acrylic?

More clear photos would help but my initial thought is it is a memorial item.
Perhaps the children shared a piece of their Mother's necklace or some such.

It's not a chain, it's twisted wire, as Laura suggested, it's a twisted wire cloisonné piece, can see it on the sides in the picture, Chinese or Japanese - looks more like a flower design than signature to me too...

Well, duh to me. I wasn't looking at the sides, only the bottom or I'd have seen the other wire. :sorry:

Sorry it has taken so long to reply with additional pictures. It is about 4 inches tall with a 1.5 inch diameter at the base.

Also, it does appear to be a flower. I didn't know if someone/company used this particular flower or look as their signature for the work.
