Featured Unknw maker of Art nouveau mirror

    Where in the world did you find that? It is amazing.

    Page is a sub of Chairish, so I would not put much credence in the pricing.

    I expected to see a stereotypical art nouveau hand mirror. This ain’t that. It is pretty damn spectacular. Could it be more art nouveau if it tried? It couldn’t, yet it looks effortless.

    Truly mouth watering ! I see Schutz Marke clocks,porcelain etc for sale. They all say a German company . Maybe all records were wiped out during ww2.This name also came up... Gebruder Heubach .

    Stunning mirror!
    Schutzmarke is indeed German, it means trade mark, so you are bound to see it a lot.;)
    I don't know if the Austrians and Swiss also used the term, but Germany would have had a more sizeable production of goods.

    For Austria I've only been able to find an item with 'Geschützt'
    (and that item is my Karl Sterrer with the 'J. Kalmar Geschützt" mark :smuggrin:)
