Unmarked Porcelain Biscuit Jar

    Would anyone know who might have made this jar?

    I would call that a tureen rather than biscuit jar.

    Without a seal the biscuits would go soggy ?

    Dave alot of old porcelain biscuit jars did not have seals. Just the jar and the lid.

    No cutout for a ladle, so either biscuit or sugar, depending on size.

    My vote is for Nippon based on the colors used and the way the roses are painted. The handles are not quite I'd expect but I think this might be a Japanese interpretation of an RS Prussia mold.
