    Hello everyone,
This was a impulsive online buy, paid for it more then I would pay for a sterling brooch, I guess I was curious to see it.
It is made of yellow metal.
Any thoughts on how old it is, what are the pained bits, and what does it qualify as a style, something to read about.
    Thank you.
    Kind regards,
    Simona

It is painted porcelain with a mix of styles, ca 1900 imo.
There is some Historic Revival, some Orientalist. Mixing and matching is very much of the period.;)

I get an Austrian vibe, but could be totally wrong. If it is Austrian, it is technically Austro-Hungarian, but not of the typical Austro-Hungarian style.

What she said! With a side order of Etruscan revival.

I grouped that under Historic Revival.:shame: Maybe Archaeological Revival would be more correct, I see Etruscan/Roman, but also Ancient Middle Eastern.

    Google translate:

"It seems to me that the crafting style really has an eastern and oriental influence. I don't know what the metal is, but other than the enamel and glass, the workmanship is relatively simple casting, not hand filigree. The needle is typical of a more recent period, early 1900's..?"

Dimitrov, the metal is likely to be cast brass, probably gilded, and definitely not filigree.
I agree, it has some Orientalist influence, as I posted above. A mix of styles, which was fashionable at the time.
The pin and the entire brooch is ca 1900, as also posted above.;)
