The image is 6x6 inches. The inside is covered with felt, even the hinges. The hinges look pretty old to me patina wise but I guess they could be older hinges used on a newer box. The box itself seems to be paint over some type of white base(gesso perhaps) over wood. The image is 3 dimensional, painted over top of sculpted ceramic... Very modern art-y. Sort of reminds me of the Days of Future Passed Moody Blues album cover...kinda.</p><p><br /></p><p>I&#039;m intrigued by this thing - the - maybe just some student&#039;s art project...but I like it a lot and think it has at least a number of years age to it.</p><p><br /></p><p>I don&#039;t really know what questions I have about it but ...thoughts on where this may have come from? Artist? Student?
