Featured Unusual Royal doulton labels

    Found a small stack of royal doulton plates squirrelled away on the stall today. They are quite attractive patterns with cobalt blue and gold lace. Two if the plates have what look like original labels from the factory. I think they have something to do with the patterns on them. Samples? Other than that maybe they are reject labels. One mentions 'no gold foot.'

    Cecil is the pattern name and the labels give size dimension. An order/production form? 4 different plate sizes and other items. I think C. S. might mean cup and saucer. Cool.

    Last pic on right opposite #8 looks like 12 or 18 bob

    Here it is blown up...

    Not sure if that makes it a valid monetary value as I don't fully understand old £ S d.

    The label on the right was stuck to the plate with the one on the left stuck over the top of it.

    Oh and I forgot your mention. Some of them have a small pink symbol on them similar to a Fleur de lys.

    No Gold Foot may mean that you could order the plate with or without the gold foot Since there are two labels on the plate, one for each with price?
