Is this just for trash or not?

I'm laughing. You must be very young to think your chair very old.

    1980's...with those metal feet.....

A matter of perspective then. An antique is more than 100 years old. If Komo is correct then yours is 30-40 years old.

Of course, "old" is subjective. Just me but... I don't consider anything to be old if it's within living memory.

I bet someone would love it; it looks like a good desk chair. The top part could be 1960s, but it has five "feet" and more feet makes it newer. I'd list it on one of the free sites and dollars to donuts someone would want it.

Looks like a comfortable, solid chair in good condition. Someone is sure to give home room to.

I do believe 5 feet also makes it more stable than 4 feet!!!!
