I got this large weathervane from an estate. I was looking for any information on it. I found many but not quite like this one. The horses head is made from another metal maybe bronze. It measures 48" long x 18 3/4" at highest point. the wheels are 14 1/4" in diameter. Im wondering how old it is and who may of made it. Any info is appreciated. 20200919_151111 (3).jpg

Yeah, I was gonna say the wheels look made not that old - may be a repro - On Ebay there are so many NEW copper weathervanes chemically treated to get the "Old copper patina"

Would be a neat collectible for those in harness racing.
But I have no idea if it is old or not.

I suspect it's not because the figure's face lacks definition. Not what I'd expect from a genuinely old item.

Let's just say... There are more antique weather vanes on offer than there were ever weather vanes.
