Does anyone know anything about this bowl?

It's about four inches wide, and an inch deep.

Sadly, it has a light start of a crack, but it hasn't broken off a large part of it.

Can you tell what it's made from? My first thought is African Kisii soapstone.

That's a good observation. I've found a lot of it in this area. It does seem like Kisii soapstone with that same surface etching style.

The color is very nice, a dark purple that has a shade of teal. Not sure how well my camera picks that up. It's lighter color in real life.
