Very strange pottery/porcelain items

    Hello, everyone! I would greatly appreciate your help in identifying this item (most of my items were left with me from previous family members or from estate auctions and some thrifting by my mother). Thank youuuu

    SOME DETAILS Not sure which side is suppose to be up. Also, I think there seem to be wording within the blue lines (I might be imagining things). Lastly, on both top and bottom are asian markings. I thought it was a trinket, or a jewelry box. .

    I think it's for food, like a donburi bowl from Japan.
