It seems it was high-concept at the time. The first illustration above ^^^^^ is closest to the one I have - it doesn&#039;t have the spring/brace in the center that would hold it more rigidly or the side holders like the second image below. It does spread out to accommodate a larger book, but isn&#039;t easy to open and close.
