Featured Victorian carved marble head/bust

Unfortunately very heavily damaged and missing the base (great pity!) But it is Victorian and carved marble is that correct? It stands 17cm tall and the base is 15cm wide.

    That's what it looks like. And she's certainly not reading a primer. They were thin. Suspect it's meant to be the Bible.

    Thanks for the comment Debora,I agree it does look like a book or Bible. But similar to the one in the live auctioneers link? That also looks thicker like a book.

    I'd think mid to late 19th, absolutely marble and genuine.
