Vintage brooches (female face and spider), identification and tips

    Hi Everyone!

    These are my two new treasures from my latest treasure hunt.
    I can't decide if the female face is modern or vintage... It feels like a kind of plastic. What do you think?
    The spider I think is definitely old, do you have any suggestions about how to clean up the legs?

    Its the same material. I think it`s gold coated brass.

    It is NOT a spider which has eight legs. Looks like a beetle.

    I know, but all these "bug" brooches I see everyone calls "spider", even if they have fewer legs. :D But Im okay with beetle too.
