Vintage Chinese Export?

    Hello Antiquers!

    It's been awhile :) I picked these up at an Estate sale a few weeks ago. I have no idea what they are as they have a small indent which looks like it would hold and incense? Bookends? They have a red stamp on the back. I have looked everywhere and have found nothing like this anywhere. I am absolute stumped! Anyone? Anything would be greatly appreciated :)

    I have an elephant like this, about an inch or inch and a quarter long, mine came with the incense.

    How large is yours?

    It is 8 inches long, 6 3/4 inches tall and 5 wide.

    I would say this is not very old, the brown muck is a bit of a giveaway.
