eygptian is like ukelele i always seem to spell them both wrong (;))

this was a cheapio charity shop find, new it wasn't precious metal as i could see base showing through, and it was filth

still looks alright with a little sunshine cloth-ing, a nice sturdy weight

would say 90% of the silver plate is gone, mostly brass now

im presuming its later than revival period, but thought id check

    1970s type thing ?

    any thoughts appreciated

Looks like an Egyptian souvenir to me, so hard to date, 1960s, maybe. Egypt is good about marking silver but am unaware of any marks for lesser metals.

These brass souvenir bracelets were often made in France for the North African tourist market.;)
For some reason the decorative repertoire included not only dromedaries, but also elephants.
