I want to buy some madeleine tins so that I can munch on madeleines while I write my book like Marcel Proust! However, I was wondering if anyone has seen any vintage madeleine pans with impressions that differ than the standard shape, such as the one in this image I've uploaded below?

As far as I know, if it ain't a shell shape, it ain't a madeleine, though I suppose you COULD bake them in any shape or form, why would you?????????

No surprise on this end that I agree with Bakersgma...............first madeleines, what then? Cheese in a spray can?

    Oh, wait.................

Got a couple free madeleines 2 weeks ago at the senior center thrift (a special give away to buyers during their sidewalk sale.) Melt in your mouth, they were!

Oh, but wouldn't they have tasted MUCH better is they were shaped like unicorns with pink icing and red-hots for eyes???????

Lavender madeleines dipped in chocolate would be divine!

Didn't Madeleine live at the Plaza? Wrong Madeleine.... A proper madeleine is an oblong with a scallop to it. I have the pan in the basement somewhere.

A genoiese cake flavored with lavender and dipped in chocolate sounds wonderful!

My pan has to be 40 years old, but that's only vintage in jewelry. In kitchen terms, that's yard sale bait!
