    It has that Mid Century Modern Thonet style look - like Bauhaus.

    It's a great chair - and for five bucks - even better!

    Although it looks like Birch wood, I'm not positive that's what it is.
    Perhaps @verybrad will know?

    In a quick search, I was unable to determine if the Washington Manufacturing Co. was the one in Tacoma, or in Tennessee? The label shows George Washington as the President, rather than Washington as the place.

    Looks to be early 20th century. First one is painted. Second one has nice quartersawn oak.
