All Peacoats prior to 1967 should have the corduroy pockets. My post-Vietnam era coat is dated 1975, so it does not have corduroy pockets, though my older one does. Nor does the later jacket have stenciled name or number, just hand writing on the tag.</p><p><br /></p><p>Finally, I believe OP coat can be precisely dated to 1948 or 49.
