Vise I Want

A member of our local machinist’s club brought this to the last meeting. He doesn’t want to sell it unfortunately. I like it, don’t know of another. 12 x 3 x 8” approx, cast steel or cast iron, not sure. Obviously the cast-in markings are why I like it, I don’t collect vises normally, except to use on a workbench.

You mean it's not usually your vice?

 

It's a nice vice device at any price, or even thrice !
If it could slice , or splice rice sized ice....I'd roll the dice & make an offer !!

Found out present owner was put onto it by a finder who knew he went to school there. Owner says his brother has put himself at the front of the chain of succession f
