I have this painting i have been packing around for years. It came out of my grandparents place when they passed in the late 80s. I have tried to find information on this painting but to no avail. It is concave and different from all other princes in the tower paintings i can find. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Concave? Is it perhaps painted on porcelain? And, fyi, we always like to see a photograph of the back of a work including the frame.

Any interesting painting with a unique look. Certainly looks to be a old/antique copy.

Did find this similar one,but the seller doesn’t give any new info on age/date. But does say ‘glass plaque’ . But looks to done on something what looks like a small porcelain bowl or type
of concave title (see photo of the back) On the back it just stamped “Princes in Tower”

So a shallow concave plaque of glass or porcelain set into velvet and framed.

I would think that's late Victorian. Created sometime after the Millet painting of 1878 and around when this was published in 1892.

A very good example of why backs of works are so important. Lots of information to be found here.
