Picked up this really amazing mixed media piece today! I think the artist says “Gil” but I am not sure. Anyone recognize this artist?

    Title is Bailarines de Tango or 'Tango Dancers' and the artist does appear to be Gil. (Gil is a surname.)

    I tried Googling Gil and found a few artists but hard to narrow down :(

    I couldn't find a Gil in Argentina. I think it might be tourist art.

    Someone paid money to reframe this is California if it is just a tourist piece

    People buy souvenir art all the time and have it framed when they get home. The fact that it's stamped "Made in Argentina" a couple times and the artist has inscribed "Buenos Aires Tango" on it leads me further in that direction.

    I love you Debora!!!!! So happy this turned out to be more than a tourist piece. His prices on that website are really high probably not market value but happy my instincts paid off on this one. One that will be on my wall and enjoyed
