Wasn't sure where to put this...so here 'tis..Austrian or Fantasy...but Older

Hi all.....This all metal 'shield' is hanging on a fireplace hood and has been for many years, in Mittersill Village, Franconia, NH. It's an Austrian type resort "vacation village", that one Hubert von Pantz started back in 1945 after the war, when he escaped Austria.....he was the playboy type, but apparently had the big bucks..... because the "village" still flourishes!!! We are in the middle of selling our townhouse unit....the shield was in the end unit.....they have so far found nothing on it, and I said I would try with my VERY ASTUTE SPECIALISTS!!! Worth a shot anyway!!! There is NOTHING written on the back and it's not very heavy....am thinking it might be from around 1967.....that's when the townhouse units were built....the rest of the 'village' is all individual chalets and I think more like 1945-50, with some newer! We had 35 wonderful years going there.....right next to Cannon Mtn and the Old Man in the Mountain (who has taken his final trip!!!!) ANY help is greatly appreciated!! And of course, THANK YOU, for even trying!!!! I only have the one image, the shield is about 18" wide by about 20" tall.....Edit: I did a lot of digging but came up only with SOME history on Hubert, but no info on a possible family crest or coat of arms...

 

The blazon on the shield is a bit too perfect for a ski resort for me to think it is anything other than an invention to suit.

 

the blazon is French. probably of the Arjuzon family.
