    Hello everyone,

I spotted this watercolor at the local Goodwill in the back row of where they toss all the framed "art". It's a watercolor, and it was framed behind glass up against some horribly acidic cardboard backing. It's signed JW Langdon Aug 1910, and the matt has the title/inscription:

THE "BEND" IN THE WALLA WALLA RIVER - BLUE MOUNTAINS - JW LANGDON - Aug 1910

From what I've found googling - JW Langdon was a photographer around the turn of the century, I've found a few of his photos of Native American peoples online

Also I've found in a few books on google book search where his photos are credited.

Can't seem to find much more about him, but I did see that his signature on my piece does match his signature on the photo on the library of congress site.

Has anyone heard of his work as a photographer or know more? I don't think his work as a watercolor artist would win any awards but this is a nicely done scene.
The watercolor image is 14 inches x 21 inches.
    Thanks for looking, and reading!
