New buy today but can't figure out the name off the artist so help needed. Looks to a Southern Europa scene to me .
    Thanks

Looks like our terrace in Spain.

Look at "terrace" paintings from the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento area too. Possibly Greece. You may find something similar with the artist name. The first letter of the last name looks like an F and the last letter looks like an r. Anything between those two, would be a wild guess.

A close-up would be helpful. And have you taken it out of its frame? Possible additional information to be found.

Or a terrace in the Amalfi Coast in Italy. Very similar to what it looks like when I was over there.

This is on the backside off the painting + the name off the man who framed it around the fifties by the look off the frame ?

Well, you can narrow date down by doing research on telephone numbers. When did the Netherlands use three digits? And, generally, European things like this date from to age of mass tourism which was mid-1960s. (Of course, could be a bit earlier.) Continue to think Spain.

By the frame I would say fifties/sixties so now only the painter to trace

Well, according to this Facebook page, P.A. Nijgh died in 1959 so, unless his business continued without him, you have your can't-be-later-than date.

    Terrible Google translation:

"Pa Nijgh, as he was mentioned, (1876 - 1959) lived in Enschede and worked as an advertisement designer at Heemaf Hengelo. He was a member of the Twentieth Art Circle. He lived, like Jan Cremer in the Emmastraat, and gave him the first principles of painting. His work depends on various museums, including an exhibition in the Twentse Welle, Enschede."

Then we still need the painter off this painting . Nijgh was not the painter off this by the look off the name on it
