Featured Watercolor Signature Help

    Very nice watercolor but having trouble with the signature, any help deciphering it will be greatly appreciated. new1.jpg new2.jpg

    I think that is more of a monogram than a signature.

    Yes, a monogram. Is it framed? May we see the work with frame from both front and back? And as this is an international forum... In what part of the world was it found?

    Texas actually, unfortunately it is glued on board so I can't see the back of it. The frame is pretty much a run of the mill frame. Here's a couple of pictures of front and back, thx.. new3.jpg NEW4.jpg

    Hmm, so it was removed from the frame after this photo and that's when you discovered it was glued?

    The backing looks like foam core. Is it?

    It's a commercial frame from Mexico.

    Looks a bit like Whistler's butterfly monogram in it's early configurations. Unfortunately, definitely not Whistler. I do see a W.
