I thought I heard this cover with the meat and dolls...and of course the Beatles, is a Rare cover.....they made them change the cover....What I DON'T remember is - if there was some sort of a recall on those particular albums !!!

    quite read it.

Well, there is a clue as to location of photographer. Beer bottles and cans -- Michelob and Miller Lite -- which were national brands but also Stroh's which wasn't. Detroit-based and in 1980 only distributed to 17 states.

17 states are still quite a lot:)
I keep wondering was this all staged or an existing place? I kind of find it hard to believe that the photo was taken by unknown photographer. And that arm...

I would certainly think done by a professional. A photograph like that was a lot of work. An elaborate set with props and models. And, while 17 states a lot, they didn't include New York or California which were (and are) the largest centers of commercial and artistic photography. Like Stroh's, may well have come out of Detroit.

It also says 180. 180 of what? Usually a print run has x/180. Maybe it was a bored portrait photographer or just an art student who got his mother and aunt to go along.

    It’s the year ‘80 not 180.

I bought of copy of this same photo at a flea market and just did a search and found this thread. Mine says "Home Permanent" and "Combs" written in cursive in pencil on the matt. Interesting that there are multiple copies... I purchased it in Oklahoma.

Is it on photograph paper or it’s reproduced?

Is there a way for me to tell without opening the frame? It looks like it was professionally framed and I would have to cut into the back to see any other details. The opening in the matt is 6.5"x4.5" so its a bit smaller.

    Thanks for the welcome!

Here is the back... it doesn't have any writing so it may not be helpful to see.

Now that I've seen the signature again, I'll take a bet on the photographer/artist being Richard Combs.
