    Hi! Everyone

I recently became a member to this site.
Today, I randomly decided to find out more information about a stand of my Great Grandmothers. I looked on bottom and found the Furniture Company was Barkey & Gay.
I believe it may be a Radio stand. I would appreciate any help . I'm figuring out how to navigate and getting familiar with this site .
    Thanks,
    Kim

I'm afraid your photo is very blurry and not very helpful. And you'd given us no measurements or idea of size. :(
The top looks thick... like it may lift up?

Much better, thank you, it's a beautiful little table! Looks like a nice entryway table to me but I'm no expert.
Now we need to wait for the furniture people to come along and take a look.
They will likely want photos of the back, underside, B&G medallion... and measurements.
And the photos, please post full size image instead of thumbnails. :)

Welcome Kim! You'll get the hang of it! I would tend to call that a lamp table. Has it been refinished? I would expect the original piece to be much darker. Your brass marker dates to after 1928 according to http://www.furniturecityhistory.org/company/3391/berkey-and-gay-furniture-co
There is a lot of info on the company via Google. You might try to track down a later (post 1920's) on-line catalog.

May very well be a radio table with built in speaker. The radio would have sat on top rather than have been built in. Like this (Not Berkey and gay).

Hi Darkwing, Yes, I did refinish it, I wish I hadn't. About 15 years ago free appraisals were offered in our area, I was told my refinishing devalued it. I'm sure despite this it still has some antique value, along with the sentimental value it has to me. Thanks for the link and suggestions
    Best Wishes,

The first picture very much resembles my stand, I do remember it had a similar mesh type material behind decorative middle area.
