KSW, you need to start rubbing and sniffing next! That's one of the tests for Bakelite. People are going to look at you oddly when you do this in public, walking about vigorously rubbing and sniffing plastics, but just tell them it's for research purposes! Well, that's my excuse.

Talk about getting arrested. Remember when I was using a black light to light up food in the market? I wanted more food that glowed in the dark and got arrested for "irradiating" food? Woman thought I was poisoning food in the fresh food section. We have had some real times here at the board.

Thank God it did not go that far. One of the policewomen who came to the food store to arrest me was listening to my side of the story and when I mentioned about the antiquers board. She called her sister in law who is on the board and they had a really good laugh at my expense. When it was all straightened out we all had good laugh. The woman who called the police was not so amused.

Why did you need food that glowed?. I'm intrigued.

It was a dinner that I was having. I was using my Vaseline dishes and lighting with black lights I thought it would be fun to have some of the food glow also. I was using tonic water which glows wonderfully. I heard that certain mushrooms also glow. So I was checking out the produce with a small black light when the woman saw me and thought I was doing something to the food.
