What can I use as a socle replacement

    Looking for a socle or other mini stand replacement to elevate this bust which is missing its socle.
    It looks much better elevated. I put a clear plastic yoghurt lid underneath and even bringing the bottom 1cm off the ground made it present much better. So I am looking for something to elevate the bottom. And something that is smaller than the bottom so the sides of the bottom extend out.

    The history/provenance etc have been discussed in this thread https://www.antiquers.com/threads/are-these-busts-the-same.49539/ I dont need any more info on that. So this thread here is just about suggestions about what to use to replace the socle for presentation purposes.

    I hadn't heard of a socle before. Learn something new everyday. I would have called it a plinthe. A Google search turned up a few for sell that may work for you.
