Featured What is this antique mirror?

    mirror 1.jpg mirror 3.jpg mirror 2.jpg I think this is from my grandmother, but it could be originally from great-grand mother. Does anyone know what it is? I have no idea if its valuable or not. Thanks

    It's a cheval glass or cheval mirror. It would go well with my grandparents' mahogany bedroom set. They were married in the 1920s.

    You can check on eBay to see what is selling. Cheval mirrors are also called dressing mirrors.

    This is a nice one. Not terribly valuable but worth more than $100.00 in most markets at retail.

    a lovely psyché mirror that would easily be priced 300 to 500 € at the right place in Europe.
