What is this?? Cast iron group of African American boys - not a door stopper/madeto sit on edge?

    I found this today at a thrift store - what the heck is it?? It's heavy like a door stopper, but made to sit on a edge or ledge - if it had hooks I'd think it was to hang Christmas stockings from while it sat on a mantle?
    Any info would be greatly appreciated!

    Four young boys, not so sure you can label them as African American though.
