What is this desktop made of?

    I bet that is what it is! I’ve never ever heard of that before but it is definitely a dark greenish color and the texture is reminiscent of the linoleum my grandma had in her house when I was little. Weird. And I’m guessing the desk was made in about that 1920’s era. Thank you all so much for all the investigative research!

    I know nothing about furniture but when I first saw it, it reminded me of some teacher desks from elementary school.
