I’m at a loss for any information on this piece. I know it’s been in my family for AT LEAST 40+ years but have searched and for the life of me can’t find it. A woman from a fb group found a green one but there was no information on that one either

Speaking of size, how big is it? Creamer, water pitcher...? Is this a creature with a snout or...?

Looks like an Iced Tea pitcher, with an ice-catching shroud an' a small spout...to me, anyway.

From the internet describing a majolica one similar to that above.

"French Barbotine majolica water pitcher, made by Onnaing, circa 1920. Known as the "Cochon au Jambon", the pig is crowned with a bay leaf, a ribbon is tied to its chest, and it holds a cooked ham on a rope. The handle takes up the pattern of the bay leaf. A parody on taking a pig to the market, this pig takes a cooked ham to the market. Onnaing earthenware is a ceramic production that developed between 1821 and 1938 in the town of Onnaing, Nord department."
