ok, then..... u can't put the name on a Damascus blade.... but that's not what the OP has here..

& I admit that some factories do indeed pay more attention to the eye holes than others......! ;):(

Still , the Fly .. or Bee has been used on many items that are not genuine Laguiole.
and in my opinion this is not an authentic Laguiole.

& I should know better that to offer lazy information:(:(...... thanks @Marote

Yes, I am known to use things for other purposes. My pasta cutter like the one posted that we now know as a dog de furring device I know was a pasta /pastry cutter, it was my Grandmothers and she never had animals. But my grapefruit spoon happens to be a very resourceful tool for me. It peels shrimp, removes the plastic looking stuff on baby back ribs, I use it to make dents on pastry & bread dough to score, it opens jars. I have a sterling silver set of toothpicks I used to use to open things with & my kids used to use them as corn on the cob holders, because I would never let them use the sterling corn on the cob holders that we have. I have however stopped using things (except the grapefruit spoon) as tools that were not meant to be tools as I broke my husbands heavy duty flashlight & a yeti can holder that I dented, both in the same week. All of my animals have always been groomed, professionally. When my Persian was still alive I bought him a human de tangle brush, and brushed him daily but he went to the groomers every 3 months. I continued to use it on my dog. They both had long fur so they were brushed daily.
