What Kind Of Glass Is This?

    Interesting green vase. Has seam lines. What kind of glass is this?

    Think it’s called malachite glass

    From Czechoslovakia
    And yes, Malachite glass.

    Yup, Czech malachite glass and rather nice. I've had some older pieces: boxes are lovely.

    I don't know your vase but I did want to show you the mark on a piece I sold a number of years ago. It was a different vase and the mark was hard to see unless you held in at a certain angle. It says Czechoslovakia.

    I've been racking my brain for the last day trying to remember the company that made this in the 1930s. They were reproducing an earlier glass
    Desna is the one I was trying to remember. In looking them up I came up with Ingrid. If I remember correctly, the bases may be different. Been a long time since I researched all of this.
