Jim, that set is delightful! Where is it that you live? I can't imagine that some child out there wouldn't LOVE to have it! (Both of my kids played with the set we had for years!)

I'd check the website to see how many things you can create with what you have, and photograph each. I might even see how much that missing piece might cost, if I thought I could get anywhere near $400!

In the right home (minimalist), this kind of stuff is fun as a design accent. I wouldn't worry so much about the missing fulcrum.

 

I wondered if that large pyramid wasn't too tall for a preschooler, and it looks like what you have does work as a seesaw! Super-cool!

I have been acquiring/collecting Community Playthings for a while, I used them in my childcare center. Currently feeling some of my collection. I am trying to date this piece. This is Community Playthings original logo (maybe from 1950's) . Can anyone help me date this piece. It is a multi use puppet theater, lemonade stand, grocery store, etc....

Oh, sorry I see you've guessed its use... There are about 1600 Community Playthings to filter thru... Maybe someone has worked out dates based on logo?
