    I have seen this before, but where and what it is, I can not remember.

    A gravy boat??? just a guess.

    Holder for brillo pads? Other than that, more work. Unless you're Greg, in which case it's a hobby.

    Hi,
    You fill the bottom with hot water and place the spoons in that small area under the lid. The hot water will keep the spoons warm. Another "Victorian" piece you could not live without.!!!! Polishing silver is more of enjoyment more than a hobby.:rolleyes::smuggrin::smuggrin::smuggrin: Notify me if you want to be rid of it.
