what was the name of the czech company that made the figures of the whispering jewish merchants?

    Thanks, INH, that one listed states Czech on the bottom. The paint is quite a bit different, so same mold was cast, different artists and likely different companies. I do think the OP's look Czech, so likely from same area. The one in the auction has damage to the left side of the hobo bag, not sure if they saw that.

    Czechoslovakia did not exist in the 19th c.. when will this fact finally find its way into the heads of all those specialists.
    there were two main sources for such figures, namely Bernard Bloch (Eichwald) and Johann Maresch (Aussig).
