    What silver backing? Looks like someone used soft solder for some reason.

    Not silver backing, but silver backing/backed construction. I keep seeing something concentric circular, surrounded by what could possibly be soft solder.

    It's probably for reinforcement. Would Israel make sense? I found it with a buddy that has a clear 750 (aka 18k) mark and an illegible one. The enameled copper center with turquoise would make sense if it's Israeli. It could be Italian too, so.... dunno. DSCF1806.JPG DSCF1808.JPG
