Featured Whatsit? A mold for pressing something?

10" long, 2" wide. The deeper round area is just shy of 2" wide and 3/4" deep. The opposite side looks like it may be missing a piece. No idea what this could be or how old. Thank you.

Whatever it presses has to be taller than the void is deep, right?

 

Lemon squeezer* - missing the 'bump' on one side that nests into the carved out part.

I think it is to small for lemon but limes would fit.

This would never work for garlic. A garlic press has many small holes for a reason.

 

Wouldn't garlic leave a hint of an odor?

I tried to post a pic. of mine, but my camera battery died during the upload ... It's now charged enough to get the photo out ... here's mine - which is maybe a 16th of an inch wider than yours
I don't care what that seller said ... I just don't see these being used for hard cloves of garlic .
