The sons also knew virtually nothing of the father&#039;s military service and certainly knew nothing of the existence of the photos and letters, as I bought them from the first wife&#039;s estate. The son immediately notified his brothers and children and apparently they search through and read everything regularly. I am so grateful they found it. Oh, and after I transcribed and scanned everything I donated it all to a university library collection near where he was stationed.
