Featured When you just "know" you've found something that's a valuable antique!

    I think we've all been there. You go shopping, and you find something in a junk pile that you just KNOW is a find, even if you have no way to validate it at that moment.

    What's been some of yours? My current one is the chair I posted this wknd. Another one of mine is a vintage violin I spotted and paid $10 for. I could tell immediately that it was a vintage violin from Italy. I sold it a month later for $500!!

    violin for me too mate

    even though the label stated Stradivarius

    it is an 1880s mirecourt

    valued at 2 - 5

    I bought this the other day, it wasn't listed as it should have been. (Maybe a good quiz for people to guess what they think it should be listed as, date, place of manufacture. I won't say what I paid or what I think it's worth until later but I think I had a bargain. 373.jpg

    The level of detail on that chair is amazing.
