    5 section, double sided, Whitby Jet & Pyrite Druzy mourning fob

    I don’t believe the swivel clasp is original to the piece.

    Almost 6-1/2” in total length

    Great find, and I agree, the swivel clasp may not be original, it doesn't look like a regular fob.
    But is it a mourning piece, with those hearts? After all, wearing jet was a general fashion.
    Sure, people followed Queen Victoria's example after the death of Prince Albert, but they didn't do so because they were in mourning themselves.

    Beautiful!

    I've read that jet jewelry intended to be worn for mourning was matte rather than shiny. Don't know how true that is...
