I'm unsure as to the purpose of your post. Is it an attempt at humor?

Debora-The first (big photo-Victorian mummy chap) is a genuine query,i found it in one of my scrapbooks-can't remember where i got it or who it was (?). The second photo is my lame attempt at levity-sorry for the goofiness, imagine it murks the real subject of the post.

Knew it had to be something seen before, such a striking image

Eduardo Toda y Güell (Spanish Egyptologist, 1855-1941) who discovered and opened the intact tomb of Sennedjem, standing with ancient Egyptian mummies at Boulaq Museum, 1885.

We hope to go to Catalan someday. 'Homage to Catalonia' by Orwell, beautiful.
That's where were planning our next trip (pending fuel crisis, age & covid ?). We thought (and are still thinking abt) moving to Spain/Portugal,but up north, somewhat similar to an Oregon climate-we are very used to rain/wind,etc.
But of course most all houses in the US are fairly well insulated-so prob not moving into an early 19th century stone barn. There are many modern apartments & some completely restored homes too,but $$$ of course.
We shall see, though I would imagine some folks are getting a little fatigued with Expats.
Eduardo Güell definitely on our radar now.

OT totally but when I see the name Orwell I cannot help self. MY FAVE AUTHOR EVER. EVER. He was an utter genius. His words make me weak.
    I do apologise.
    As you were xx
